Take a Break Foods (TAB) is committed to producing delicious comfort foods with as many local, Canadian ingredients as possible.

Take a Break Foods started in 2024 based at Kitchen Connect in Esquimalt, a shared commissary kitchen. From there, it built out a food factory and expanded operations to Amy road in Langford. Many important connections continue from the times at Kitchen Connect, such as meeting the Mustard Seed, and South Island Farm Hub team, and many more. With many decades of culinary, and restaurant ownership experience, TAB's team is able to produce frozen dishes that grocery stores and markets resell quickly. The home cooked tasting foods are made with tried and true recipes, real ingredients, and without preservatives or additives.

Our foods can be purchased at fine markets, online, or at our Saturday market at the kitchen from 11am - 2 pm.
